Zhejiang Geely Holding Group (“Geely Holding” / “the Group”) was founded in 1986 and entered the automotive industry in 1997. In 2025, the Group achieved approximately 4.12 million vehicles in annual sales, with new energy vehicles accounting for approximately 2.29 million units, making it the eighth largest automaker in the world by total sales.
Geely Holding’s 2030 vision is “Leadership through a Green and Intelligent Mobility Ecosystem.” Its operations span automotive manufacturing, intelligent travel services, green transportation, methanol and hydrogen ecology, and digital technology. The Group’s strategically invested holdings include Geely Auto, Geely Galaxy, Lynk & Co, ZEEKR, Volvo Cars, Polestar, Lotus, and Farizon Auto — each with its own distinct brand positioning.
Headquartered in Hangzhou, Geely Holding has more than 10 R&D and design centres globally, over 30,000 R&D and design personnel, and has invested over RMB 250 billion in R&D over the last decade. Its manufacturing footprint includes plants in China, the U.S., the U.K., Sweden, Belgium, and Malaysia, supported by a worldwide sales and service network of more than 7,000 branches.

This mission is carried forward by the Geely Talent Development Group, the division responsible for education, talent cultivation, and the Group’s global academic network. Led by Dr. Lu Dan, it operates a growing portfolio of universities, colleges, and international “Xinwei Institutes,” preparing the next generation of engineers and industry leaders for the era of intelligent, green mobility.

Mission
The Geely Talent Development Group develops people as the foundation of Geely Holding’s green and intelligent mobility ecosystem. It combines classroom learning, industrial practice, and research to cultivate engineers, technicians, and leaders who can serve industry and society.
It is guided by the same corporate mission that guides the Group: “A Sustainable Future, A Better World.” Education is treated as a long-term social responsibility — not a commercial sideline — spanning vocational training through postgraduate study.

Founded in 1999 and based in Chengdu, an applied undergraduate university with national automotive talent-training bases and industry-education integration platforms.

Established in 2005 in Hainan, Sanya’s largest higher education institution, with an application-oriented, student-centered model of industry, academia, research, and practice.

An independent undergraduate institution in Hunan focused on new engineering and new business, aligned with strategic emerging industries.
